September 2011 - Present.

Present the Vivienne Lee Show every week.

The first part of the show is interviewing members of the community and playing 6 of their all time favourite songs or songs they have written (a cross between 'Oprah Winfrey on the airwaves' and 'Desert Island Discs').

The second part is discussing local news and events with people from the local community along with music of now and then. Also showcase musicians in the area.

support to project manager of bbc radio 4's 'listening project'

January 2012, Broadcasting House London
I supported the Project Manager with different tasks and posted many questions to the Diversity Editor, Marketing Team and the Commissioning Editor (Tony Phillips). The work placement fell during a crucial week on the project and I experienced training from the StoryCorps team, the legal and editorial policy teams, and met with Producers and Executives from BBC local radio stations.

  1. Networking with people and finding out how they got to be where they are;
  2. Being proactive, making myself useful and putting myself forward when there was an opportunity to help enhance my employability
  3. Able to see my skills are easily transferable and;
  4. It re-enforced my drive and commitment to work in Broadcasting

Septemer 2010 - August 2011 (1 Year).
Presented on Peterborough.fm community radio and presented the weekly 'Vivienne Lee Show'. This was a cross between Oprah Winfrey on the airwaves and Desert Island Discs. I interviewed members of the local community and played six of their all-time favourity songs. Secondly, I presented the 'Daily Brunch Show' reporting on local and county news and interviewing the local MP, NHS, Voluntaru and other organisations. Thirdly I DJ'd music shows playing music of all genres as well as upcoming artists. I also played live acoustic sets a few times. You can hear snippets of my own work on this website.

I took the initiative in getting the local magazine and newspaper in July 2011 to write and article on Peterborough FM which helped boost the awareness of the station and a bring it a step closer to permanent licence on 87.7FM.

Since leaving the station, I feel proud to know that PeterboroughFM now has an abundance of new people wanting to present some exciting, innovative shows for the community plus the station also has a great new website.

Peterborough FM kindly presented me with a Volunteer of the Year Award in November 2011.

She interviewed various types of people around the local community, whilst playing a selection of their favourite music:-
